• Choose 304 stainless steel for marine and outdoor exposure, or brass in a nickel plated or dull black finish, so the set matches the environment it lives in.
• Stimpson’s brass ring snaps conform to military specifications MIL-DTL-10884, NASM27980, and NASM27981.
• A plain stud set is four pieces: cap, socket, stud, and post. A screw stud set is three, because the screw stud threads into the frame in place of the stud and post.
• Large Ring Snaps (24 Line) and Small Ring Snaps (20 Line), with longer cap and post options available for thicker materials.
• Choose a plain stud, or a 3/8″ or 5/8″ screw stud when the snap has to anchor into a frame, deck, or trim.
• Set them with Stimpson’s snap set hand drive or 405 snap set tooling, and move up to powered or automatic machinery when volume picks up.
