Stimpson, the leading manufacturer and supplier of grommets & washers, eyelets, snap sets, and hole plugs for over 160 years,
has introduced two new non-marring mallets, a poly-mallet, and a brass mallet, to its already robust machinery & tooling suite of products. Both mallet types are recommended for Stimpson’s GS® Eyelet and Snap Set Modular Hand Drive sets. These are the first two mallets for Stimpson and are designed for industry professionals to DIY enthusiasts who want to add quality products and trusted solutions to their workshop.

Poly-Mallet

Stimpson’s well-balanced and long-wearing barrel-shaped poly-malletPoly-Mallet-Stimpson complements any professional’s workbench. The entire non-marring dual-faced mallet head is made from a high-density plastic ideal for striking metal fasteners, surfaces, other objects and materials often damaged by steel hammers. An added benefit of the poly-mallet head is that it absorbs shock and minimizes bounce back, enabling operators to focus on strike quality rather than fatigue. The poly-mallet head is securely set on a lacquered industrial-strength tapered hickory handle known for its reliability, flexibility, and strength. Stimpson’s poly-mallet is recommended for use with all GS® Eyelet and Snap Set Modular Hand Drives to damage to the surface or object.

Specifications:

  • Heavy-duty non-marring poly-head absorbs shock, minimizes bounce back, and actually hardens with repeated use.
  • Industrial-grade tapered hickory lacquered handle
  • Recommended for all GS Eyelet and Snap Set Modular Hand Drive Sets
  • Head Face Striking Diameter: 1 ½”
  • Head Face Length: 3-1/2”
  • Face Type: Smooth
  • Made in the USA

Brass Mallet

Fastening professionals prefer non-marring brass mallets over steel hammers since they avoid damaging the modular hand drive’s handle while still providing the maximum amount of strike force and accuracy. Since the brass head is soft and malleable, it will not chip like a hardened steel hammer preventing unnecessary damage to the modular hand drive, the fastener, and the object’s surface. The cast brass dual-barrel head provides a ⅞” striking surface while simultaneously enhancing the mallet’s overall balance. Another unique feature of this mallet is the 2 lb. head that absorbs shock and minimizes bounce back, increasing operator efficiency with each blow, unlike steel hammers. Like the poly-mallet, the smooth brass head is securely attached to a splinter resistant industrial strength tapered hickory handle. This mallet is recommended for all of Stimpson’s grommet & washer modular hand drive sets, including sheet metal, brass, E-Series, and Marine Grade grommet hand-tooling when maximum striking power is required.
